Maintenance of Sisal rug-

You must keep in mind that you have chosen to decorate your home with a part of Nature. Hence proper care and love is essential for many years of comfort and beauty of your room.

-Natural fibers are static-free and do not attract dust. But, you should vacuum your rug daily otherwise dirt particles may lodge between the fibers and cause it to wear.

-Soaking must be strictly avoided, as the fiber may retain a watermark after cleaning. When a spill occurs, it must be removed immediately by blotting with a clean cloth or absorbent paper.

-Solid substances can be removed by scraping with a spoon. Be sure to work from the outside of the spot to the center.

-Carpet-cleaning product is available for your sisal rug. Never pour any cleaning agent directly on the sisal. Be sure to test before applying.

-Sisal rug is definitely an indoor use rug. They are recommended for any area in your house, except bathrooms, basements and kitchens!

Uses of Sisal rug-

§         The natural fiber based sisal rug products such as sisal, sea grass or hemp are free from foreign chemicals. This biologically inert property has become a great preference regarding health issues for airtight rooms and offices.

§         These floor coverings do not collect electro-static charge. This is a great relief in eliminating the annoyance of static produced on a nylon synthetic area rug.

§         The sisal rugs can also regulate humidity levels within your home.

§         Sometimes the sisal rug is combined with wool to produce the best properties of each fiber. This result is a soft but durable hybrid sisal rug.
